Living with anxiety can feel like carrying an invisible weight that affects every aspect of your life. Whether you’re experiencing:

I offer evidence-based tools and support to help you reclaim your life.

My Approach

My passion is in helping you overcome your fears and live a life full of meaning and joy. Therapy is a collaborative journey. Using proven techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we’ll work together to:

Hello!

My name is Carine and I’m here to help you discover meaning and joy in your life. I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I enjoy local parks, crossword puzzles, mindfulness practice, reading, trying new foods, music, and spending time with my family and our Aussie mix, Coco.

Ideal pain points and goals

You’re here because you’re tired of avoiding everything and your anxiety is only getting worse. My clients often struggle with balancing the demands of modern life.

When clients first start working with me they feel overwhelmed by stress, have trouble sleeping, difficulty concentrating, and often feel depressed. Some are trying to work through painful issues from the past, trying to find their direction in life and feel unfulfilled in work and unhappy in their relationships.

My therapy focus is on designing a custom treatment plan based on your concerns, needs, and goals. Some clients prefer structure in therapy with a focus on learning new tools and practicing with homework assignments between sessions. Others prefer a less structured approach that allows for organic exploration in session. Some want to dive deep and explore how their past is informing their present, while others are more interested in focusing on making improvements for their future.

Hello! my name is Carine and I’m a therapist who specializes in working with clients who want to overcome their fears and live a rich, meaningful, and fulfilling life.

Who gets the most working with me:

I’ve found that meaningful progress happens when clients actively engage in their therapy – whether by reflecting between sessions, coming prepared with questions, or showing eagerness to explore new coping tools. My role is to nurture this sense of openness, creating a space where we can safely experiment with new ways of moving through the world. No matter what challenges bring you to therapy, this collaborative approach helps build lasting positive change

What can you expect from me:

I thrive on building genuine connections with my clients. When we establish a strong therapeutic relationship, I can fully invest in your journey, bringing my most insightful and empathetic work to our sessions. I’m deeply committed to understanding your unique story and working alongside you to discover paths toward healing that resonate with your experiences and goals.”

What most people who struggle with anxiety don’t know is this:

Many people don’t realize that avoiding anxiety-provoking situations actually reinforces their fears, making anxiety’s grip even stronger over time. True healing begins when we gently and gradually face our fears, but you don’t have to do this alone. I provide a supportive, encouraging environment where we can work together to build your confidence and resilience. If you’re feeling frustrated because previous attempts to manage your anxiety haven’t worked, know that this is completely normal – and that there is hope. Together, we can develop strategies that finally make a lasting difference.”

What most people who struggle with anxiety don’t know is this

The more you avoid the things that make you anxious, the more anxious you will be. Healing comes through confronting fears in the context of a supportive and encouraging therapeutic relationship.

Before working with me my clients tried many things to feel better and only felt frustrated and disappointed.

Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It’s a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.
